[FAQ000143]String concatenation on a zero-filled number causes the leading zero to disappear¶
Q¶
When I performed string concatenation on a zero-filled number, the leading zero disappeared.
How do I keep the leading zeros from disappearing?
For example,
If the value in cell A1 is "0011111" and the value in cell B1 is "ABC",
the result will be "11111ABC" when combined with the formula "=A1&B1",
and the leading two zeros will disappear.
A¶
When referring to a cell whose formatting is not "String",
the value will be automatically converted to a numeric value and the leading 0 will be deleted,
so please change the display format to "String" in the formatting of the cell
where the zero-filled numeric value is set.
