[FAQ000002]How to display today’s date in the calendar

Q

I want to place a calendar and set today’s date, how do I do that?

A

There are two ways to set today’s date in the calendar: by editing the CALENDAR function expression
or by setting it in an action.

①How to edit CALENDER function expression

Edit the formula in the cell where you placed the calendar as follows.

=CALENDAR(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(TODAY()),DAY(TODAY()))

②How to set up in an action
If a calendar is placed in cell 'D5', by writing the following using the "Set [] in cell []" process in the Cell Operations category,
you can set today’s date.

"Set [=TODAY()] in Cell [D5]"

Intuitively, it may seem that setting today’s date in a cell in an action will overwrite the CALENDAR formula,
but if a function such as LIST or CALENDAR is already in the cell,
a special handling is included to set the value
without breaking the function.
